Smiles for Children, Health for the Future: Yangchun Qixian Experimental School Hosts "Oral Health Journey for All Ages" Campus Clinic

Dental check-ups

At the beginning of 2025, Yangchun Stomatological Hospital joined hands with Yangchun Qixian Experimental School to launch the "Oral Health Journey for the Elderly and the Young" public welfare clinic. From February 2 to 4, our hospital’s professional dental prevention team entered the school to provide free oral examinations, pit and fissure sealing, shallow caries filling, and orthodontic screenings for students in grades 2 to 6. Parents were also invited to observe the activities alongside their children.

During the clinic, doctors conducted meticulous examinations of each child’s teeth, focusing on newly erupted teeth to determine which required pit and fissure sealing or shallow caries filling. They carefully recorded each student’s oral health status, and for those needing further treatment, provided professional guidance with follow-up care managed by dedicated medical staff.

Our hospital placed special emphasis on orthodontic screenings for students. Our orthodontic team not only performed comprehensive routine oral examinations but also used advanced screening technologies to deeply assess potential issues such as abnormal tooth alignment and maxillofacial developmental abnormalities. Personalized treatment plans and care instructions were tailored for each student, reflecting our profound commitment to their oral health.

To help students understand the importance of oral health and learn effective protection methods, we designed a series of informative educational boards. These boards vividly illustrated the connection between oral health and overall well-being, as well as correct daily oral care practices.

With the school’s organized coordination and students’ active participation, the event concluded successfully, receiving high praise from the school and parents. Statistics show that pit and fissure sealing was completed for 752 students in grades 2 to 6, and 224 students were identified as needing orthodontic treatment during the screenings.

Moving forward, Yangchun Stomatological Hospital will continue to uphold the mission of "Caring for Oral Health, Protecting Children's Growth," advancing the "Oral Health Journey for All Ages" public welfare project to safeguard children’s oral health with full dedication!
