Press coverage details
There has been wide press coverage on the Hong Kong Oral Health Week 2025, most of which were in Chinese. Media Coverage in English on Oral Health Week (24-29 April 2025) are captured below.

i) To improve dental care awareness among Hong Kong residents, the Hong Kong Dental Association launches a 6-day major public health campaign titled “Oral Health Week” to provide complimentary oral examinations and consultations to all Hong Kong ID holders.

ii) The initiative comes amid growing medical evidence linking poor oral hygiene to systemic health issues, including potential connections between gum disease and cognitive decline.

iii) During the campaign period, participating dental clinics across the city will offer free basic screenings, personalized oral health advice, and X-ray services when clinically necessary.

iv) The Hong Kong Dental Association also unveiled a bonus scheme for seniors, when an elder person aged 65 and above spend at least HK$1,000 for primary dental services provided by a dentist participating in the scheme between 1 May and 31 October this year, the elder person would be rewarded with an additional HK$500 value-added services which can be used to pay for any dental services provided by the same dentist from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026. The bonus scheme is designed to encourage primary oral health care in alignment with the HKSAR Government's Primary Healthcare Blueprint.
