World Oral Health Day 2026 Celebration

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD) will celebrate WOHD through a collaborative initiative in Asturias, Cebu. The event is also a follow-up to a Capstone Project. The activity will include oral health education, toothbrushing drill, oral health assessment, fluoride varnish application and distribution of oral health kits to daycare learners. This multi-stakeholder effort highlights the importance of addressing oral health disparities, fostering partnerships, and empowering individuals to take charge of their oral health.

Objectives: 

At the end of the activity, the participants will be able to:

1. Gain knowledge on the importance of oral health, 
2. Demonstrate the proper tooth brushing technique through a guided toothbrushing drill,
3. Receive individual oral health assessment results, including identification of oral health issues such as Early Childhood Caries (ECC),
4. Receive fluoride varnish from a dental practitioner; and
5. Utilize the distributed oral health kits to sustain good oral health habits at home.
