NOHP Puducherry - oral health awareness session and Colouring competition conducted at Government Primary School, Kalapet kuppam

On behalf of World Oral Health Day 2026, an oral health awareness camp was conducted at Government Primary School, Kalapet Kuppam for students of 3rd, 4th, and 5th standards.

The session focused on the theme “Happy Mouth is a Happy Life.” Students were educated on the importance of overall oral hygiene and healthy habits. Brushing techniques were demonstrated using a dental model to ensure proper understanding.

An oral health pledge was taken by the students to encourage good oral hygiene practices. Teachers and staff actively participated in a signature campaign and enjoyed the selfie booth activity.

To promote creativity and awareness, drawing and colouring competitions were conducted based on the dental theme “Toothiee,” where students enthusiastically showcased their talents.Oral health pamphlets and posters were distributed to reinforce the awareness message.Total Beneficiaries: 48 students & Staff Participation: 4 teachers .

The program was successfully conducted, creating awareness and encouraging healthy oral hygiene practices among young students."
