NOHP Puducherry - Intensive four month community and school outreach dental campaign in Karaikal region

The Four-Month School and community Dental Outreach Campaign was conducted by CHC Thirunallar with the aim of improving oral health awareness and ensuring early identification of dental problems among the people of karaikal.The campaign was implemented across selected schools and community over a period of four months, with structured visits and follow-up activities.

SCHOOL:A dedicated dental team carried out oral health screenings for students and provided basic preventive care, including fluoride application and guidance on maintaining oral hygiene. Interactive education sessions were organized to demonstrate proper brushing techniques, highlight the importance of a balanced diet, and discourage harmful habits such as tobacco use. Teachers and school authorities were actively involved to support and reinforce healthy practices among students.

COMMUNITY:During this campaign various industries, colleges, subcentres of the particular community was also visited and given professional care and advice. Oral health awareness sessions within the coampus was taken on regular basis for the general public, Patients of the NCD clinic, well baby clinic, antenatal mothers by the dentist and team.
