Activities by Dentistry Students

Students of Dental Medicine at University of Maribor, Medical Faculty united this year to share the knowledge of oral health with the general public at many locations around the city, and to organise workshops and lectures with specific demonstrations for orthodontic patients and for patients in prosthetic treatment.
Many brochures will be given out at open public locations and high schools, while students will be available to answer different questions about oral hygiene.
Special WOHD-themed visit to pediatric patients will also be organised.
All activities will include:
promoting regular brushing and flossing with demonstration of techniques, information about cariogenic foods and their impact on oral health, promoting regular visits at the dentist, negative impact of smoking or drinking alcohol on oral health, impact of oral hygiene and health on systemic health.
