World Oral Health Day in Prague, Czechia

Event

The main Prague events took place on March 18 at the Community Centre of Mother Teresa and on March 19 at the Zahrada Cultural Centre (Prague 11), where a programme for approximately 2,000 children has been prepared. This represents a Czech record – never before have so many children been educated at the same time! The programme begins at 8:00 a.m., with the official opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. attended by the President of the Czech Dental Chamber, Roman Šmucler. All activities are funded by the partners of World Oral Health Day.

Interactive stations focused on proper dental care, prevention of tooth decay, and the importance of oral health for overall health will be available on site.

The educational programme is organised by the Czech Dental Chamber in cooperation with students of the Third Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, the Czech Association of Dental Students, and the Prague 11 municipal district.

Other educational institutions and professional organisations will also participate in the awareness activities. The Secondary Medical School and Secondary Vocational School Benešov, as well as the Higher Vocational School for Dental Hygienists, are organising programmes for children and the public both in Prague primary schools and at their own premises.
