The Regional Science Exhibition was successfully conducted at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kadhirkammam, organized by *Dr. Sivakumar A.S.* Directorate of School Education(DSE), *Smt.V.G.Sivagami* Joint Director (JD)of School Education Government of Puducherry. The exhibition aimed to encourage scientific thinking, creativity, and innovation among students while providing a platform to showcase their talents and knowledge in science and technology.
The event was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Puducherry, *Thiru N. Rangasamy* , in the esteemed presence of the Honorable Education Minister, *Thiru . A.Namassivayam * , Thiru R. Embalam Selvam* Puducherry Legislative Assembly and *Shri .K.S.P Ramesh* - Member of Legislative Assembly Kadhirkamam .Their presence added great value and inspiration to the students and participants.
Various schools from the region actively participated in the exhibition, presenting innovative science models, working projects, and creative exhibits related to environmental science, health, technology, and sustainable development. The exhibition provided an excellent learning opportunity for students to interact, exchange ideas, and develop scientific curiosity.
As part of the exhibition, *the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP)* stall was set up to create awareness about oral hygiene and preventive dental care. The stall displayed informative charts, models, and educational materials focusing on the importance of oral health, proper brushing techniques, prevention of dental caries, and harmful effects of tobacco use. _Pamphlets_ and informative _poster_ distribution done.
The Honorable Chief Minister visited the _National Oral Health Programme_ stall and appreciated the efforts taken to educate students and the general public on oral health awareness and tobacco awareness with specimens . The interaction highlighted the importance of integrating health education with school-based programs.
Overall, the Regional Science Exhibition was a grand success, fostering scientific temperament among students and emphasizing the significance of health awareness, especially oral health, in building a healthier future generation. Totally, *382* science exhibits participated from various government - primary, middle, high school, higher secondary , aided and private schools . Nearly 1258 students and teachers visited the stall.
