NOHP Puducherry - Oral screening conducted at Community hall, Sandai Pudukuppam

"On 26-02-2026, an overall oral health screening camp was conducted at *Community hall,  Sandai Puduppam,* for the general public. Participants underwent a thorough examination to identify common dental problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, oral infections, and other related conditions. The screening procedures and techniques were explained to create awareness about the importance of regular dental check-ups and early detection of oral diseases.

As part of the awareness program, anti-tobacco education was provided, highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco use on oral and general health. Informative anti-tobacco *pamphlets* were distributed to the public to reinforce the message and encourage healthy lifestyle changes. Oral hygiene instructions were also given, emphasizing proper brushing habits and preventive care. Nearly *46* people benefited from this program, and those requiring further treatment were advised to visit the nearby dental facility for follow-up care."
