NOHP Puducherry - Oral Screening and treatment camp for NCD patients at AAM - Jipmer Urban Health Centre - Kurusukuppam.

An oral screening and treatment camp was conducted at *AAM JIPMER Urban Health Centre, Kurusukuppam* on 10-02-2026. During the camp, oral health screening was carried out for patients attending the *NCD* clinic. The patients were examined for dental caries, gum diseases, oral infections, and early signs of oral cancer. Necessary treatment such as oral prophylaxis, medication advice, and referral for advanced care were provided based on individual needs. Oral health awareness was also given to the patients, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene to prevent complications related to diabetes, hypertension, and other non-communicable diseases. Instructions on correct brushing technique, healthy dietary habits, and harmful effects of tobacco and alcohol use were explained. IEC materials were displayed to reinforce key messages. Nearly *47* beneficiaries attended and benefited from the screening, treatment services, and health education provided during the camp.
