NOHP Puducherry-Oral pathologist day celebration at AAM Bahour oral cancer screening camp by Indira Gandhi institute dental sciences .

On 25/02/2026, an Oral Pathologist Day celebration was conducted at AAM Bahour to mark National Oral Pathologist Day. An oral cancer screening camp was organized by Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences. The program aimed at early detection of oral precancerous and cancerous lesions, especially among high-risk individuals. Participants were educated about the harmful effects of tobacco use, early warning signs of oral cancer, and the importance of regular dental check-ups. A total of 56 individuals benefited from the screening, and 2 cytology samples were collected for further diagnostic evaluation. The camp helped promote awareness and encouraged timely medical consultation.
