On 18.3.2026, CHC Karikalampakkam organized an Integrated Awareness Session for arts and science students at Aachariya College, Aachariyapuram, Puducherry. The event aimed to educate students on various health concerns, including Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Tobacco, and Oral Hygiene. The session featured awareness talks, skits, and interactive demonstrations. NTEP staff nurses and community medicine PG doctors from IGMC shared valuable insights on TB prevention and the risks of tobacco use. A skit on the harmful effects of tobacco products was performed by IGMC interns, driving home the message. The Dental Surgeon emphasized the importance of oral hygiene, explaining dental caries and prevention methods, and demonstrated proper brushing techniques using a model. The Health Assistant shed light on Leprosy and its elimination in Puducherry. The informative sessions engaged students, empowering them with knowledge to protect their health and well-being. The event was a resounding success, with students gaining valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
