NOHP Puducherry - Dental awareness and Screening camp at Government Primary School alankuppam

Mobile Dental Unit visited Alankuppam primary school on 23/2/26.
An oral awareness and screening camp was conducted to the school children.During the camp, dental check-ups were carried out to identify common oral health problems such as dental caries, gum diseases, and oral lesions. 
°A dental awareness session was also conducted for the students, highlighting the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and its connection to overall health.
°Proper brushing technique was demonstrated using a dental model to ensure participants understood correct methods of cleaning teeth.
°Participants were also educated about healthy food habits and the harmful effects of tobacco use. A painting competition was also conducted to the students as a part of FDI- World Oral Health Day celebration.
Nearly 144 students and 10 staffs benefited from the camp.
