NOHP Puducherry -Awareness of oralhealth and its significance to General health session was taken oxford international school, thirukkanur students at CHC Mannadipet

"An Oral Health Awareness Program was conducted on 27.01.2026 at Oxford International School, Thirukanur, under CHC Mannadipet, with the objective of promoting oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle practices among school children. The session focused on educating students about the importance of oral health in maintaining overall health. Key topics included the do’s and don’ts of oral care, correct brushing techniques, and the harmful effects of tobacco consumption. Brushing methods were effectively demonstrated using dental models to ensure better understanding and practical learning.

The program was led by a Dental Surgeon, Dental Assistant, and two Health Inspectors, who actively engaged students and teachers through interactive discussions and demonstrations. Awareness materials and guidance were provided to encourage the adoption of proper oral hygiene habits from an early age.

A total of 180 students (87 boys and 93 girls) and 6 teachers benefited from the program. The session was well received and contributed to enhancing awareness on oral health and disease prevention."
