NOHP Puducherry -Awareness on oral health to overall health and Harmful effects of tobacco on to human body camp program conducted to Farmers and B.sc students of SMVEC

 Awareness sessions:  The farmers ( Batch 1) and B.Sc. Agriculture students of SMVEC, Madagadipet were given awareness on 1. the significance of Oral health to overall health. Oral hygiene measures were emphasised for good oral behaviour for good oral health.  2. Insights of Tobacco and its impact on health and society.  Role of TCC services and NRT gums availability at  the facility were highlighted.   Pamphlets were distributed.  

The program was headed by Thirunadan, Agriculture Officer, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kariamanickam and was arranged by Bhakthavatchalam, Block Technology Officer. Knowledge shared by the chief guest Dr O Kavipriya, State Nodal Officer National Oral Health Program Puducherry cum Chief Dental Surgeon Mobile Dental Unit Government of  Puducherry . The program was further led and motivated by Dr M Helene Dental Surgeon, PHC Nettapakkam.  

Beneficiaries: 53 farmers and 10 students.
