The healthy smile that we cares!

Dental practice visit

Day 1-An oral health awareness program was conducted by Chettinad Dental College and Research Institute, Kelambakkam at Poonjeri, as part of the World Oral Health Day celebrations on 14th March 2026. The program aimed to promote awareness about oral hygiene and encourage healthy dental habits, especially among children.
A major highlight of the event was an interactive game segment for children designed to help them differentiate between good and bad food for teeth. In this activity, children were asked to select various food items and clip them onto models representing either “happy teeth” (indicating foods that promote dental health) or “sad teeth” (indicating foods that can cause harm or dental problems). This fun and engaging approach made it easier for children to understand the impact of diet on oral health.
The program also included virtual demonstrations of proper brushing techniques, where participants were taught the correct method, duration, and frequency of brushing. This helped reinforce the importance of maintaining daily oral hygiene practices.
In addition, oral health talks were delivered to educate participants about the importance of good oral hygiene, the role of diet in dental health, and preventive measures to avoid common dental diseases.
Overall, the event successfully combined interactive learning, visual engagement, and educational sessions, making it effective in spreading awareness and encouraging healthy oral care practices among the participants, particularly children.
