GDCH, Mumbai: November Outreach: Advancing Oral Healthcare, Reaching Every Smile
In its continued commitment to strengthening community oral health, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai, conducted an extensive and strategically planned November Outreach Campaign 2025.
This initiative was designed to bridge gaps in accessibility, promote preventive care, and deliver essential oral healthcare services to diverse and underserved populations across Mumbai. By integrating screening, education, and counselling, the campaign translated public health principles into meaningful community impact.
Campaign Vision
To create healthier communities through accessible, preventive, and equitable oral healthcare, ensuring that no individual is deprived of essential dental services due to social or economic barriers.
Objectives
- To expand access to oral healthcare services across underserved communities
- To promote preventive oral health practices and reduce disease burden
- To facilitate early detection and timely intervention of oral diseases
- To enhance community awareness regarding oral hygiene and overall health
- To encourage sustainable behavior change and health-seeking practices
A total of 22 outreach camps were conducted, reaching 4874 beneficiaries, including children, women, healthcare workers, and underserved populations.
