Introduction
In alignment with the global theme “A Happy Mouth is… A Happy Life,” the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai, conducted a month-long Oral Health Promotion Campaign at St. George Hospital, Mumbai. This initiative aimed to integrate oral health into comprehensive healthcare delivery, extending beyond maternal and child care to include general patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The campaign emphasized prevention, early diagnosis, and capacity building within the hospital system.
Objectives
- To promote oral health awareness among all patient groups
- To integrate oral health into routine hospital care practices
- To encourage preventive oral hygiene behaviors
- To facilitate early detection of oral diseases
- To build capacity among healthcare providers including nursing staff
- To strengthen community-level health education through hospital outreach

- Children and caregivers attending Pediatric OPD
- General patients and attendants visiting the hospital
