GDCH, Mumbai: Healthy Mouths, Healthier Lives – Promoting Oral Health for All

As a continuation of the oral health outreach activities conducted on 17 March 2026, and in connection with World Oral Health Day 2026, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai, has organized an Oral Health Screening and Education Camp on 23 March 2026 at Vision Rescue Community Centre, Little Angel's English High School, Mankhurd, Mumbai.

• Target Population: Underserved urban community including children, adults, and tobacco users

The camp will aim to further strengthen oral health awareness and provide basic oral health screening services to members of underserved communities. Children and adult residents will be encouraged to participate in the program.

During the camp, participants will undergo oral health screening for common dental conditions, including dental caries, periodontal diseases, and oral mucosal lesions. Special attention will be given to individuals using tobacco, who will be screened for early signs of oral precancerous lesions and counseled regarding the harmful effects of tobacco use.
