Children in South African schools say “ahh” during a special visit from the South African Dental Association

The South African Dental Association (SADA) is a member of FDI World Dental Federation. Their head office visited eight schools on the 10th and 12th of March in the Sharpville area.

School visits

They organized simple oral health screenings conducted by dental practitioners and SADA Head Professional Development Dr Nthabiseng Metsing shared oral health messages with 3,633 children. In addition, each SADA branch delivered good oral health hygiene kits in 37 schools, reaching more than 10,000 children across South Africa.

Campaign resources

The SADA also used the 2020 World Oral Health Day campaign material. They added their logo to the campaign posters, including the poster designed for children, which was printed out and distributed during the school visits.
