Open Wide and Step Inside is a joint project between Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise and community health charity Well Connected. The project has been pilot tested with local Plymouth (Devon, UK) primary schools over the last five years, made possible with funding from The Wrigley Company Foundation and King Baudouin Fund, and has now been commercially launched to support the importance of oral health amongst the younger population through an fun and interactive animated film alongside teacher, children and dentist support resources.
The Open Wide and Step Inside message is delivered through the story telling of Geoffrey the Giant and his reluctance to visit Daisy the Dentist. With the support and encouragement of his friends, including Milly the Mouse and Stephanie the Snake, on his journey to visit Daisy, Geoffrey learns the importance of looking after his teeth.
